Well, we’re super officially into the first chapter!  Only took a year to get there!  While the comic ‘launched’ in November, the first two pages were posted early as a preview, so technically as of September 13th, Mottershead Isle is one year old!  Yay!

Even if it takes ages for me to get the pages up, as I said, they are coming, and I thank everyone for their patience!

Despite the fact that it took me forever to sit down and finish this page, and it has a lot of issues, I’m actually pretty proud of this one.  I really wanted to experiment with the sound and the dialogue, making it both more dynamic and a proper translation of what I was trying to convey.  I hope it comes across as readable!  The nice part about Mottershead Isle is that I am learning something new with each page.  Whether it’s in regard to pacing, how to draw something so that it doesn’t look like a complete mess, or how to arrange panels and dialogue for the best and most readable effect.

Still a long way to go, of course, but it’s nice knowing that with each page it at least feels like I’m figuring something out.  I’m hoping eventually my style of drawing becomes less stiff as it gets more natural to draw, but if ‘stiff’ is just part of my style, well then so be it.

As always, feel free to follow me on Twitter or Facebook, and of course, don’t forget to vote for Mottershead Isle!

Thanks again for reading!
